Meet The Coaches
Head Coach, Jim Hamsa
As a member of the Nebraska Coaches Association and a Certified NCAA Approved Club Basketball Coach, Jim Hamsa has over 20 years of coaching experience. A four year varsity player at Fremont High School, Jim moved into his college playing career and was a four year letter winner at Midland Lutheran University. Over the many years of his coaching career, Jim has had the privilege to help develop and coach many eventual Division I basketball players! Jim’s desire is to see young players develop fundamentals of the game and showcase their talents by playing the great game of basketball with heart and passion.

Assistant Coach, Jennifer Blachford
A multisport athlete in high school, Jen was a 4 year varsity basketball player at Lake Preston High School in Lake Preston, SD. Jen is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a BS in Biology and Sociology. Jen was the Co-Director and a head coach of the Nebraska Sparks Girls Basketball Club for 6 years and coached several ages groups during that time. Jen has completed her NCAA Club Basketball Coaching requirements. This is Jen's first year as a NE Force assistant coach.

Assistant Coach, Michael Champagne
A multisport athlete in high school while attending Aberdeen Central in Aberdeen, SD. Mike is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a BS in Business Administration and Economics. Mike is endorsed to teach middle level and high school business. As a member of the Nebraska Coaches Association, Mike has been a youth coach for 6 years and is currently an assistant coach at Lincoln Northeast High School. Mike has completed his NCAA Club Basketball Coaching requirements and holds NFHS endorsements to coach Basketball and Track.
